We are excited to announce that in February 2021 we successfully completed the CyberSecure Canada certification. This is a new certification program created by the Canadian Federal government and is Canada’s only cyber certification program. Canada’s cybersecurity certification program helps small and medium-sized organizations implement certification requirements so they can protect themselves against cyber attacks to protect their business, their clients and partners.

We are excited to welcome a new staff member as we expand our team again! Gary Halbig joined PCM at the start of May as a System Technician and comes with 10 years of IT experience. For the last 5 years Gary has been working in the managed IT services space and we have come to really appreciate the experience he brings to our team.

Mickael Moco joined our team in March as part of an internship for a program he completed at triOS College in Hamilton. Mickael recently earned the CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network + and CompTIA IT Operations Specialist designations. Since then he has been busy getting up to speed on our support tools and best practices.

April has been a busy month at PCM as we assist our clients while we all adjust to new working environments due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This last month we have seen a 30% increase in support requests, and we continue to work hard to respond to all requests in a timely manner.

As we all continue to adjust to the rapidly changing news around COVID-19, the health and safety of our employees, clients, and those in our broader community remain our top priority. We are taking cues from public health officials about prudent steps to protect everyone, and effective March 24th, 2020 the majority of our employees will be working remotely until further notice.

Last year was a busy one for PCM and it quickly became apparent that more resources were needed to serve the growing client list. We are excited to announce that our team has expanded again with another experienced technical consultant.

We are excited to announce the launch of our new customer portal. This updated website features a brand-new look that is more modern and easier to use. The new portal allows clients to submit and look up service tickets, view invoices, view projects and project tickets as well as manage user permissions.

Effective November 1, 2018 the Government of Canada implemented new privacy breach reporting requirements related to PIPEDA. All companies (both small and large) that collect and store personal information are subject to these new regulations.
