April has been a busy month at PCM as we assist our clients while we all adjust to new working environments due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This last month we have seen a 30% increase in support requests, and we continue to work hard to respond to all requests in a timely manner. As an essential service PCM continues to operate as usual, working full days and regular hours but with most staff working from home.
We continue to suspend all non-essential onsite service visits and meetings, choosing instead remote connections or video/audio conference calls as appropriate. Should an onsite visit be necessary, our team will reach out in advance to arrange and our technicians will wash their hands before and after each visit. Disposable gloves have also been made available to all technicians for everyone’s protection.
Laptops, web cameras, headsets and anything related to working remotely continue to be difficult to acquire with most of this type of equipment out of stock at all commercial distributors. This will likely remain an issue until all the supply chains resume regular production schedules and shipments.
