As we all continue to adjust to the rapidly changing news around COVID-19, the health and safety of our employees, clients, and those in our broader community remain our top priority. We are taking cues from public health officials about prudent steps to protect everyone, and effective March 24th, 2020 the majority of our employees will be working remotely until further notice.
Last year was a busy one for PCM and it quickly became apparent that more resources were needed to serve the growing client list. We are excited to announce that our team has expanded again with another experienced technical consultant.
We are excited to announce the launch of our new customer portal. This updated website features a brand-new look that is more modern and easier to use. The new portal allows clients to submit and look up service tickets, view invoices, view projects and project tickets as well as manage user permissions.

Effective November 1, 2018 the Government of Canada implemented new privacy breach reporting requirements related to PIPEDA. All companies (both small and large) that collect and store personal information are subject to these new regulations.
Joel Harsevoort joined our team at the end of August and has been busy getting up to speed on our processes and tools. Joel comes with a fair bit of industry experience, both supporting small businesses and more recently working in the technical team at the Christian Labour Association of Canada.
Earlier this year Allen Zwicker joined our team and has been busy getting up to speed on our support tools and best practices. Allen has a diploma from Mohawk College and completed the Computer Systems Technology – Network Engineering and Security Analyst program.
Last month we hosted an Open House to celebrate our 25th anniversary and our new office space. As part of this we also invited 3 of the core vendors we partner with to join us. HP, WatchGuard and Datto came with their latest products and had some great discussions with people on their technology solutions.
This year marks our 25th anniversary from a company perspective. What started out in 1993 as a 1-person consulting firm has developed into a mature managed services company with 10 full-time staff. In the technology world 25 years is a long time and so much has changed through the years!
Back in 1993 computers were just starting to get connected to the outside world using dial-up modems, and the Mosaic web browser was released to bring web to the masses in a user-friendly way.
At the end of January we moved to our newly renovated office space. We’re excited about the new layout and bright office space and are happy to report that the move went flawlessly!
In preparation for the office move we also decided to implement a new phone system.
