Questions to consider before replacing your servers

When it comes to replacing your company’s servers, you should review aspects of your existing server infrastructure and consider the implications of the upgrade. Answering questions related to reliability, performance, security, and scalability will allow you to make the right decisions and ensure the upgrade aligns with your company’s long-term goals.

Introducing Tanya as a new team member

We are happy to introduce Tanya Jerome who recently joined our company as an Office Administrator. This is a new position for us as we grow and realized that we needed assistance in several areas in the office. She’s the friendly person you meet when contacting our office and looks after procuring all the hardware and software needed for our clients along with many other related tasks in the office.

PCM adds another Help Desk team member

David Vanden Ende joined our team in January to increase the number of Help Desk technicians we have on staff. David graduated from Mohawk College in December from their Computer Systems Technology - Network Engineering & Security Analyst program. We’re excited to have another Mohawk graduate on staff as several of our team members have completed this same program of studies.

Are you using email signatures effectively?

One thing that is rarely talked about are signatures used in email messages. Organizations often leave it up to their staff to set up a signature in their email software. While this might seem fine, how do you ensure that every email leaving your organization has a professional look and feel to it? Are the signatures boring without much detail? How do you control email signatures sent from mobile devices?

Research has shown that email signatures can be an effective marketing tool if used properly.

Windows 10 Upgrade Offers

Earlier this year Microsoft announced that they were going to offer free Windows 10 upgrades for a year to those running Windows 7 and Windows 8.1. While Windows 10 for PCs isn’t launching until August, their marketing engine has been working hard to ensure everyone knows about it in advance!

We’ve recently had some questions on the free offer, especially now that information about the offer is being pushed out through the Automatic Updates process.
