PCM celebrates 25 years in business!

This year marks our 25th anniversary from a company perspective. What started out in 1993 as a 1-person consulting firm has developed into a mature managed services company with 10 full-time staff. In the technology world 25 years is a long time and so much has changed through the years!

Back in 1993 computers were just starting to get connected to the outside world using dial-up modems, and the Mosaic web browser was released to bring web to the masses in a user-friendly way.

Windows 10 updates – The challenges we face!

Windows 10 has been out for a while now along with it’s new update cycle. So why now, am I deciding to write about how it handles updates? We’re finding there’s confusion amongst clients as to the what and why of the changes to Windows 10 especially on the differences between what’s an “update” and what’s a “feature update”, two very different things!

To give some background, before Windows 10 was created, Microsoft used to release a new operating system (O/S) every few years.

PCM is moving!

As we start this new year we are excited to announce that we will be moving to a new office! Our current office has served us well for several years, however we decided to purchase our own office space and move out of the current rental unit.

The new office isn’t far away, in fact it’s only 2 buildings down the street from our current space.
